Candace is very passionate about telling stories that connect individuals of diverse backgrounds together. She’s worked with brands and networks such as Netflix, Hulu, Comedy Central, Funny or Die, Color of Change, and more.

From longform to short form text, Candace is skilled in scripting engaging media content. Her writing has earned her the Best Screenplay Award at the 2023 Essence Film Festival, as well as placements in writing competitions including the Screencraft Screenwriting Fellowship, The Inroads Fellowship, and The Black Boy/Girl Writes Mentorship Initiative two years in a row.

Candace has worked with media companies including Cashmere Agency. As a Senior Copywriter, Candace provided sharp and witty copy across all social media platforms for clients at BET, BET+, VH1, Showtime, and more. Her work includes the Season 3 Launch for MAX Original (formerly HBO Max) series, Warrior, which won a Shorty Impact Award and Bronze-winning CLIO award.

As a producer, Candace has worked in all areas of Production, from pre-production to post. She specializes in development, from crafting and revising story bibles and pitch decks as well working in Casting. As a Casting AP, her skills include Talent scouting, conducting pre-screen phone calls and interviews, writing one sheets, and preparing pitch packages for network executives to review.

As Founder of creative company EbbsFlow LLC, Candace is a multidisciplinary talent who takes pride in providing quality content to her clients. She holds a BA from Brooklyn College, where she studied Film with a concentration in Screenwriting.
