SEVEN PEOPLE, SEVEN PERSPECTIVES ON REPRODUCTIVE FREEDOM

This winter marks the 49th anniversary of Roe v. Wade—potentially its last, given the real risk that the landmark decision might be overturned by the Supreme Court this spring.

There’s been a lot of coverage of the issue—what will the court do and when will it do it?—but one thing that often gets lost in the shuffle are the real people whose lives are affected by this freedom. That means the people who choose abortion, but also their families, their partners, their communities—all of us.

These seven stories, shared first on our Instagram, touch on motherhood, immigration, friendship, religion, and love. And they underline that abortion, in 2022 and always, is an everyone issue.
